PRIVACY POLICY
Coffee Timer
This policy explains how Buckmoon Inc. ("we") handles user information in the Coffee Timer application (the "App").
Information stored only on your device
The following information you record in the App is stored only on your device. It is never sent to our servers or to any third party.
- Brew history (date, recipe, dose, water, rating, bean name, notes)
- Tasting notes (acidity, sweetness, bitterness, body and aroma)
- Bean inventory (roaster, roast level, roast date, amount)
- Custom recipes you create
- App settings (voice guidance, sound, keep screen on, default dose and so on)
This information is lost when you delete the App. If you export it yourself, for example with the CSV export feature, how it is handled afterwards is up to you.
Information collected automatically
To improve quality and identify problems, the App uses Firebase (Google Analytics for Firebase and Crashlytics) provided by Google LLC. The following information is collected automatically.
- An app instance ID, assigned to each installation. This is not an advertising identifier.
- Usage data such as app launches, screen views and feature interactions
- In-app purchase and subscription events (product ID, name and price)
- An approximate region, derived from the IP address used for communication. The device location services are not used.
- Crash reports and diagnostic data such as device and OS information
Location
The App does not use device location services such as GPS. The approximate region described above is estimated by Firebase from the IP address, and no precise location such as a street address or coordinates is collected.
Advertising and tracking
The App does not show advertisements. It does not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not link data with data held by other companies for advertising purposes. For this reason the App does not present the Apple App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Payment information
Payment for the Coffee Timer Pro subscription is handled through the App Store. Payment details such as credit card numbers are processed by Apple, and we never receive or store them.
Accounts
No account is required to use the App. We do not collect contact information such as your name, email address, phone number or address.
How we use the information
- To provide the App and keep its features working
- To identify and fix problems
- To improve quality based on analysis of how the App is used
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell or provide the collected information to third parties except where required by law. The use of Firebase described above is a delegation of processing for the purpose of providing the service. For how Google handles information, please refer to the following.
Deleting information
Uninstalling the App deletes all information stored on your device. If you would like information collected by Firebase to be deleted, please contact us using the form below.
Children's privacy
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as needed. If we make a significant change, we will announce it on this page.
